METAL POINT DRAWINGS

My metal point drawings are of empty and abandoned spaces.  These drawings, void of any human

presence, picture abandoned warehouses, dirt covered railroad tracks, dead trees, and in one

drawing a dead bird amongst a pile of leaves.  The overall whiteness of surface, the delicacy with

which the images are drawn, and the choice of subject matter combine to create images that are

visually present when viewed up close but fade like memories when you back away. I created

these works to express both my connection and inevitable separation from the pictured places,

the delicacy of a single moment in time.
