MEETING POINTS

In the piece on the floor called “Meeting points” you look downward at six rotating aluminum

rods. It has a rhythmic steady movement in which each part passes by the other.  Due to the cycle

of the motors the rotating rods have chance encounters which are their meeting points; they make

contact and they ring.  The overall impression is made by the six rods sweeping in individual

circles that together form one large circle of movement.  The radial sweep of the metal arms

evokes not just the motion of objects in space but the passing by of time.
