My most recent works are my installations Turning Points and Any Where. These can be found under installations in the images section of this website.

BIO.

I grew up in Chicago and graduated from North Park University with a Bachelor of Arts in painting and drawing in 1996. While at North Park I studied under the direction of my mentor and friend Tim Lowly. In 1999, I moved to New Mexico to attend the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque, where I obtained a Master of Fine Arts in painting and drawing in 2002.

I am currently a fulltime professor of painting and drawing at MiraCosta College in Oceanside California. I have exhibited my artwork in galleries and museums across the United States and in Japan. I currently live in Oceanside, California with my wife Ayumi Shimoda.
